Denham Springs is a great vacation destination when visiting Southeast Louisiana. Centrally located between the Plantation Country and New Orleans. Take in the sites and sounds of New Orleans and Bourbon Street only 1hr and 20 minutes away. The next day head down the Mighty Mississippi River and see several plantation homes and get a feel of how it was back in the 1700 and1800's. You don't feel like traveling today? That's fine, we have you covered right here in Denham Springs. Something for everyone. The Bass Pro Shop is just waiting for you along with Antique Village where you can find that special something for someone. Food, we have some of the best of Louisiana right here just a few steps from your hotel room. A great little Cajun restaurant at the Bass Pro Shop and some of the best coffee in town at the Whistle Stop in Antique Village. There's plenty more to see and do here. I recommend that you spend at least 3 days here to really get the feel of Louisiana. When I travel I always think of how safe the area is that I'm staying in. You can rest assured that you can safely walk the streets here at any time of the day or night. Now I do have to warn you about something. There are big alligators at our Tickfaw State Park which is only 40 minutes away. Now if you want to have a real relaxing day then you need to do some Cajun rapids on our Amite River. Visit Tiki Tubing and they will take care of the rest!
